Pink Floyd Concert -Music Pavilion, Ersékkert, August 5th. Yes, you've read right there is a Pink Floyd Concert in of all places Eger but alas it is not the original line-up but a tribute band. Do not let this put you off though as they are excellent ..and it's free!

Markets, markets and more markets - throughout August in Andornaktalya, Eger Antique Market, Szilvasvárad, Felsőtarkány. There seems to be an obsession these days with flea/antique markets in Eger and the surrounding villages - never mind, great place to pick up a bargain...and a lot of junk too.
St. István's Day, Dobó Square - August 20th. THE Hungarian National Holiday celebrating the founding of the Hungarian state with programs throughout the day culminating in, as usual, a stunning fireworks display.
