István Dobó Castle Museum

The programs of Eger Castle are almost never-ending. It doesn’t count as the main monument of the city in vain. Many exhibitions can be visited here.

Lyceum Library of the Archdiocese

The library harbours many rare and interesting items. You can have a look at the famous letters of Kelemen Mikes (’letters to Turkey’) or the letter of Mozart, and wonder over the libraries’ hidden treasures. Useful books and cultural programs are also available in the museum, of course.

Magic Tower

Even the name indicates its uniqueness. The tower gives place to the Astronomical Museum, the Planetarium, the Magic room, the Camera Obscura (periscope) and the Panorama terrace.

Basilica

The Basilica of Eger is Hungary’s second largest church. It was ordered by Archbishop Pyrker, designed by József Hild, and built between 1831 and 1837.
